It’s been quite some time since I’ve updated this. Many things have transpired this year that have kept me away—several moves, the birth of my daughter’s twins
and a host of personal changes that have kept my work private.
Happily, things have quieted. I’m back to a regular writing practice, am taking an excellent workshop to stimulate my brain and open my heart called Poetry of Resilience, the Sacred Everyday hosted by James Crews and Danusha Lameris. They are fabulous as are the guest poets. Why last week’s feature was Dorianne Laux, a poet I have long loved and admired. She was everything I’d hoped she’d be. And there are more to come…
There is also nothing like the heat to spur a reading frenzy. I’ve been reading like crazy and will be renewing my blog, The Reader’s Cafe very soon. I’ve missed talking to you. Now I have a new problem. I’ve read so many books lately, both good and well, not so much, it will be hard for me to choose and get started!
I’ve also terminated my contract with the less than honorable (I’ll leave it at that) Adelaide Press. What Love Becomes is no longer available through them but only through this website. Copies I have purchased from them. Do not buy from Amazon any longer. They are not his to sell. I am in the process of reprinting the book under my own press. What else by the Readers’ Cafe Press. It’s been a long story to get to this point and would make a great story of deception, theft, dishonesty, false promises, made to an unwitting group of naive yet hopeful writers. Hmmm. Maybe one of those writers will write a thriller one day…. I’ll keep you posted!
